About RSNA
The Registration System for Nationals Abroad (RSNA) is a free service provided by the Ministry of Foreign and CARICOM Affairs for Trinidad and Tobago nationals travelling overseas or living outside of Trinidad and Tobago. The details you provide when you register will help our embassy and crisis staff to contact you and provide better assistance in an emergency such as a natural or man-made disaster or civil disturbance.
Our goal is to encourage all citizens of Trinidad & Tobago travelling or residing abroad to let us know their contact information so that, in an emergency, we can contact them.
WHY REGISTER WITH THE RSNA?
Trinidad and Tobago nationals are encouraged to register with the RSNA to:
- Receive important information from the nearest Trinidad and Tobago Overseas Mission about safety conditions for the country for which you registered your stay.
- Swiftly receive notification during emergencies from the Trinidad and Tobago Overseas Mission.
- Notify family and friends in emergency situations with the assistance of the Trinidad and Tobago Overseas Mission.
- Assist family and friends to get in touch with you in an emergency.
WHEN SHOULD I REGISTER?
Nationals are encouraged to register prior to leaving Trinidad and Tobago, but you can register with the Trinidad and Tobago Overseas Mission closest to your destination country/city.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
You can register online, via telephone or in person at the nearest Trinidad and Tobago Overseas Mission. Visit www.foreign.gov.tt for a full list of Missions.
WHAT INFORMATION IS REQUIRED?
You must provide the following information:
- Personal details such as name, date of birth, mobile telephone number, etc.;
- Detailed travel itinerary; and
- Contact information in the destination country. It is strongly recommended that the information requested above be left with family or friends in Trinidad and Tobago prior to departure.
IF I DON’T REGISTER, WILL I RECEIVE EMERGENCY INFORMATION?
No. Without your contact details the overseas mission will be unable to send information directly to you.
